Year 2 Home Learning- Wednesday 1st April

Here are some activity ideas for today 😊

For spellings we would like you to play pictionary with a family member. Take it in turns to draw one of your spellings and write down which of the jumping orange words it is.

For Maths, we would like you to continue with the White Rose work looking at fractions. See snippet below for today’s activity. You have all been working so hard on these activities and it’s been great to see your work on the school blog.

Today’s literacy activity can be found on Purple Mash. For this activity you will have to select and match nouns and adjectives. Remember adjectives are describing words like huge, scary and terrifying but nouns are people, places or things. e.g. pencil, school and Paris. If you would like an extension after this, maybe you could describe the picture below using expanded noun phrases with more than one adjective in the sentence?  E.g. The huge, brave lion sat happily on top of the shiny, yellow campervan.

And finally, your afternoon activity is your choice! Maybe you could make chocolate Easter Nests! Or perhaps you could make an Easter card for someone special? Alternatively, we have set an Easter research activity on Purple Mash that you may like to complete.

Best wishes,

Miss Newport and Miss Jones 😊
