What a busy week in The Den!

Children in the Den have been so busy learning all about emotion, feelings linked to colour. They’ve been reading ,discussing, painting, making and producing some wonderful writing including adjective and similes based on the story ‘The Colour Monster’.

For the last few weeks in Maths we’ve been focussing on money in particular recognising coins, adding the amounts and even beginning to work out the change needed. We tested our money knowledge and skills with a fun trip to the local shop! The children were so sensible and polite, we were so proud!

We’ve also been designing and safely using the tools to build Birdboxes in D&T, fun outdoor Phonics and planting seeds and seedlings in Science!

Phew! Well done Denners. What stars you are!

Harris – Story Plot

Harris story plot.

He did very well suggesting interesting verbs. He suggested leap and dash before we used a thesaurus.

Wow you have thought of some interesting verbs Harris and I love the idea of using a thesaurus! Well done! Miss Taylor : )

This is a great story plan Harris, I like how you have thought of your own ideas!  Mrs Lee
