Y5 Telling the Time

Dear Parents/Carers,

Year 5 will be looking at ‘time’ as their next maths topic. This was a topic that was covered during lockdown last year and therefore some children are not secure with this. We have assessed the children and have identified the children requiring additional support from home to tell the time accurately. You will see a slip in these children’s diaries informing you that they need extra support.

We would greatly appreciate your support in helping to teach your child to tell the time.

Thank you,

Mrs Arthurs and Mr Banfield

Year 5 Junk modelling

Dear parents/carers,

In the last week of term, (on Thursday 27th May) year 5 will be completing a design and technology project which will entail junk modelling. We would appreciate it if the children could bring in cardboard specifically e.g. cereal boxes, cardboard packaging or  kitchen roll tubes (please note: no toilet roll tubes).

Thank you for your support,

Year 5 Team

Parents’ Evening Calls

Dear Parents/Carers,

Please remember that we will be completing parents’ evening calls this week. We will be calling from an unknown number, so if this is around the time of your appointment it is likely to be us. If you miss your allocated time, please do not call the office as we will call you again at the earlier possible time. Please be mindful that we have no free slots so this may be after 5:30.

We will be talking through the snapshot of your child’s learning which has been stuck into their diary.

Thank you for your support,

Mrs Arthurs and Mr Banfield.
