Staying Cool and Having Fun in Mrs Sturrock’s Class :-)

Year 1 have had a fantastic time keeping cool this week!

On Thursday and Friday, the fun was in full splash mode as we enjoyed an exciting water fight. Everyone had a water pistol and no one stayed dry, including Mrs Sturrock and Mrs Humphries!

After all that energetic fun, we cooled down with some delicious ice lollies (yum!) and relaxed together with story time in the shade.

It has been a brilliant couple of days full of laughter, smiles and summer joy! 🌞💦📚

Here are some of the photos we have taken.

Year 1 Water fight Thurs pm

Good afternoon,

As a ‘cool’ treat tomorrow afternoon during our PE session we would like to have a water fight. So they may come home a little damp – if your child is in ASC they can bring a change of clothes.

Your child can bring something to use for the water fight and we will be providing some bits too!

They have coped well with the heat and we’d like to have bit of fun.

Thank you

Government evaluation: Share your experience of walking, wheeling, and cycling to school

Our school has agreed to take part in an important government evaluation of interventions that enable walking, wheeling and cycling to school. The findings will help Active Travel England make walking, wheeling and cycling to school easier and safer for children.

All parents and carers of pupils in Reception, Year 1, Year 5 and Year 6 in our school are eligible to participate in an online survey. This will take around 10 minutes to complete and will ask questions about:

  • How your child travels to school.
  • What helps or makes it hard to walk, wheel or cycle to school.
  • What you think about changes to help children travel actively to school.

If 50 parents and carers of pupils in our school take part, then our school will receive a £75 Love2Shop voucher.
