Year 5 PE days

Year 5 PE days are currently Monday (swimming only for Mr Jackson’s class. Mr McFarland’s class will complete a PE session in school) and Tuesday (Gymnastics for both classes).

From the week beginning 29th April (school week 4), PE days will change to Tuesdays (gymnastics-indoors) and Thursdays (dodgeball and rounders-outdoors). This is for both classes.

Apologies for any confusion. We felt that it was important that Mr Jackson’s class have their full swimming entitlement and due to pool closures, this was unfortunately not possible during spring term and therefore delayed.

Many thanks,

Miss Jones

School Dinner pricing from Summer term

From next term all school dinners will be charged at £2.70. We know this is an increase, but we are still confident that our school lunches offer great value and provide a nutritious lunch for all children.  The new menu will be distributed and added to the website as soon as school receive it.

Thank you

Newdale Team

Finance and Personnel Committee Update

The Finance and Personnel Governors met this week and without doubt the highlight was again talking to children! We invited a group of children with additional needs from across the school to talk to us about their learning and the support they receive. It was reassuring for Governors to hear how enthusiastic they are about school.

Schools across the country are under immense pressure to remain financially stable. Governors scrutinised the Newdale budgets and discussed ideas moving forward. Measures that will be taken will ensure we are financially stable and yet, will not affect the quality of education for our children.

PE, Crossbar and Swimming for Yr 5

In the summer term, year 5 will have gymnastics on a Tuesday and Crossbar on a Thursday. Swimming for Mr Jackson’s class will be on a Monday for the first two weeks. Many thanks.
