If you are having difficulties getting on to Google Classroom, I have uploaded the activities in this post so that you can download them here. Work through these activities at your own pace:

Guided Reading – write your own VIPER questions about Cogheart or a book you have at home.

Literacy –  Write a snow day diary and include:

• Expanded Noun Phrases; (The white, powdery fluff)
• Fronted Adverbials; (As we played in the snow,)
• Relative clauses; (which, who, that)
• Parenthesis; (Brackets, dashes, commas)
• Cohesive devices; (Additionally, alternatively) 
• Prepositions for time (firstly, after, before)

Science  – Research parts of a flower:

Science KS1 / KS2: The anatomy of the flower – BBC Teach Look at this video to help you. 

Can you label the parts of a flower and explain their function?

For example: Nectary – this is where nectar is made which attracts insects. 

Create a multiple choice quiz which explains how each part of a flower functions.

Snow –  Don’t forget to get out into the snow and enjoy it while it’s here.
