Y1-6 Parents’ Evenings w/c Monday 2nd December 2024

Y1-6 Parents’ Evenings Week Beginning Monday 2nd December 2024

To give parents and carers plenty of notice to book their child’s appointment, we will be sending out letters next week. Your child will be given a letter by their class teacher. Please fill out and return promptly. Please note that we are no longer using the online system and have reverted back to having paper letters. Our School Cloud subscription was over £1000 a year for a service we only used twice a year. Instead, we will use this money to continue to subsidise for trips and visits.

Poppy Appeal

This year we are again supporting the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal and will be selling poppy resources to raise much needed funds for this worthwhile cause.

Children can buy paper poppies at school, by bringing their donation in for a poppy to their classroom. The poppy will be given out at the end of the day to take home.

Selling of paper poppies and other resources will start from Wednesday 6th November until Monday 11th November.

We do have a number of other poppy themed resources that will only be available to purchase from the school office at break times.

Please see the attached information with details of the items that children can buy in exchange for a donation (suggested donation amounts are included).

Suggested donation:

Reflectors – £1.00

Bands – £1.00

Snap Bands – £1.50

We only have limited supplies, so once gone, they are gone!!

Thank you for your support.

Reminder – Halloween Events

Dear Parents/Carers,

We will be holding a Halloween School Event on Friday 25th October after lunch. Children must come into school in their school uniform. They will then be able to change into their Halloween outfits or simply dress down after lunch (please label all items). Staff will be running a disco in the hall and carrying out Halloween fun events in the classroom. Children will go home in their outfits.

We appreciate that not all parents want their children to take part in Halloween events. If that is the case, please do let your child’s teacher know through the home school communication book. We will prepare something non-Halloween themed for them to enjoy.

Due to the Y6 trip and Y5 swimming on this day, they will have their Halloween event the day before on Thursday 24th October.

Kind regards

Miss Cook
