From September 2014 The Children and Families Bill and 2015 revised Code of Practice, will be introducing changes to how services are delivered for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
Newdale Nursery School and Nursery with Telford and Wrekin are working hard to make these changes and make things better for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities and their families.
“Pupils who have special education needs and/or disabilities receive highly effective teaching in class and targeted additional support out of class. Consistent and supportive teaching also helps pupils to feel encouraged by their success” Ofsted report June 2017.
This year, we co-produced the report with Parents. We created a survey based on the SEND Information report.
You said, we did.
You said the report was a little long in length and so we created a shortened Parent Overview so that Parents can find the information they require from the report quicker.
In February 2020 we also had a SEND review day. This was in partnership with the Severn Teaching Alliance to evaluate our SEND provision, highlighting positives and identifying areas for development. Please find the finalised outcomes report here.
