Our Year 5 and 6 boys football team played their first competition of the year last week and managed to win the group and make it through to the knockout stages of the competition.
We started the competition off with a tough game against Lilleshall which saw two fantastic goals and the game ending 1-1. We then played against Wrekin Prep which again was a tough game with both teams looking like they were going to score however Newdale managed to score a brilliant volley to win the game 1-0.
Our final two games of the group were against John Fletcher Primary which we managed to win 2-0 with two well worked goals. Finally, we played against Lawley Village which was a tight game and could have gone either way with both teams creating lots of chances however the game ended 0-0 meaning that we topped our group unbeaten.
Well done to all our players!
