🌟🌟 Friday 7th February – Achievement Assembly 🌟🌟

This week, many of our year groups enjoyed a wonderful E-Safety theatre performance called ‘Blast Off’. The show reminded us all about the rules to staying safe online – including being kind to one another and telling a trusted adult if we ever have worries. Today, the whole school have being enjoying celebrating NSPCC Number Day with lots of exciting Maths activities and story books. We hope you hear all about it this weekend 😊 Our Achievement Assembly had a special ‘Number Day’ theme today. 

BeSMART Cup winners who will have a special treat next week:

Both Reception classes – for having a wonderful week following the BeSMART Code, being role models to the older children in assembly showing them how to sit smartly, making school enjoyable for all their friends by sharing toys, giving their friends compliments when they spot that their friend has done something brilliantly and including others in their games.

House Points

It looks like Wrekin could be on their way to earning the next House Celebration! The final results will be revealed next Friday!

Achievers of the week:

Year 6 achievers: Joey for a brilliant contribution to Number Day and a fantastic improvement to his presentation in his Maths book and Harlan for his fantastic work on TTRS – what a Rockstar!!

Year 5 achievers:  Georgia for thinking outside of the box and showing great determination with our Maths challenges today. Charlie for amazing work in Maths day, being the first to solve our perimeter challenge today.

Year 4 achievers: Ezra for amazing progress in her times tables and building independence in Maths lessons and Ashton for fantastic work on fractions and decimal equivalents.

Year 3 achievers: Raeya for outstanding accurate use of column methods and amazing enthusiasm for maths and Lexi-Mae for her fabulous fractions work and enthusiasm on Number Day.

Year 2 achievers: Noah for always showing great resilience in Maths and creating a wonderful collage using only 100 pieces on Number Day. Conor for his daily enthusiasm in maths but especially today creating a wonderful collage using only 100 pieces on Number Day.

Year 1 achievers: Archie for fantastic measuring during number day. He worked accurately and ensured he always started on the 0 when measuring using a ruler. Miss Fisher has chosen Shranav and Hayden for being top mathematicians, completing lots of challenges and helping their peers to compete them too! We are so proud of them!

Year R achievers: Arthur for his amazing addition this week – he has proudly recalled lots of addition number facts using different manipulatives to help him if he needs and has worked hard playing his number games in his intervention. Manreet for excellent number work – Manreet always tried her best! 😊

‘Times Tables Rockstars’ of the week: with an impressive 94% of the class engaging with TTRS every day for the past 2 weeks, the TTRS trophy has been awarded to Miss McCullagh’s (Mrs King’s) class! As one of the most dedicated players in the class, Aidan accepted the trophy on behalf of his team. Well done rockstars – keep up the super work!
