Achievement Assembly

This week Year 2 had a really successful cake sale and raised enough money to get our chicks! We also worked hard writing letters about how fantastic playtimes and lunchtimes have been recently.

The Newdale Cup winners this week – Mrs Haymour’s class for putting so much effort into their Chance to Shine and really engaging with their texts and taking on the role of the character.

Achievers of the week:

Year 6 achievers: Toby for his excellent work ethic :) Mrs Stack’s achiever for her beautiful presentation in all lessons.

Year 5 achievers: Paisley for always putting 100% effort into every single piece of work and showing a fantastic attitude to learning. Isla for putting in great effort this week with her published chance to shine and becoming more independent with class work.

Year 4 achievers: Jack for showing an excellent understanding of place value in Maths this week. Lucas for always being polite and helpful to others around school.

Year 3 achievers: Eli for demonstrating great ready to learn behaviours and for his amazing volcano with great texture. Charlie for the amazing improvement in his handwriting and trying his hardest with his writing in literacy.

Year 2 achievers: Bella for trying her best in Literacy lessons and writing super sentences. We are so proud of you! Dominik for his super effort in art and computing this week in the afternoons. Well done Dominik!

Year 1 achievers: Delilah for always being a fantastic role model, kind friend and a helpful member of the class. Zach for working hard in his intervention groups and trying his best.

Year R achievers: Maggie for a wonderful week. Maggie always tries her best, listening well and giving her best every day. Well done Maggie 😊 Azka for showing excellent focus in class and being resilient during Maths lessons.

Readers of the week – these children were entered into our weekly reading raffle:

Year 6 readers: Kian – for his consistent home reading and clear diary comments. Malachi for his dedication to a particular series of books and his detailed comments.

Year 5 readers: Mason for demonstrating a passionate commitment to daily reading, selecting a wide range of engaging books to reflect on. Theo for completing more than 5 reads and adding lots of detail to his responses.

Year 4 readers: Retal for sharing lots of interesting facts from her book in her diary every day and producing a great VIPERS response. Smrithi for a fantastic week of reading, engaging with her texts well.

Year 3 readers: Mrs Churm’s reader for her enthusiasm with reading. Ava-Lilly for her efforts with reading everyday this week and enjoying the books she is reading.

Year 2 readers: Princess Kimberley for the amount of reading she is doing at home. Caitlyn for being such a great and consistent reader all year, well done!

Year 1 readers: Lucas for practising his phonics at home and attempting to read more often.
