Mrs Trevor’s2022 World Book Day

We had lots of fun dressing up as our favourite book characters. We did a fashion show and explained our chatacters and we laughed lots at some of Tinkerbell’s miming skills! The children’s acting skills were brilliant!

We invented our own characters and dived deep into lots of stories throughout the day.

Days to remember:

PE days – Monday (Crossbar) and Thursday (Class Teacher)

Forest School – Thursday (please bring in a change of clothes and appropriate change of footwear)

Times tables test – every Wednesday

Spelling quiz – every Friday

New spellings and times table homework – given out each Friday – please ensure homework books are brought to school.

Please continue to read with your child 3 or more times a week as this supports all areas of their learning.

Year 2 Nature Walk – Wednesday 1st December

Year 2 Nature Walk – Wednesday 1^st December

Year 2 will be going on their nature walk during the afternoon after lunch. They will have their school photos on this day too.

Please ensure your child comes to school with a warm/waterproof coat, hat, scarf and gloves if you wish and appropriate footwear. If they bring wellies, please bring them in a carrier bag as we will change into them after lunch.

Mrs Trevor’s Year 2 Zoological Trip

We had a fantastic time on our trip to Zoological.

We really enjoyed travelling to the different continents to see the animals and we looked at their habitats. This linked well with our Science topic, living things and their habitats.

We handled reptiles, watched the animal show and finished off the day with the most spectacular, dazzling bird show. Mrs Goodwin had the best spot for the show with the low, swooping birds! The lemur and parakeets even liked the look of some of us!

It was incredible!
