Y4 Positive Cases

We have had a few positive cases in Y4 over half term. As always, please can you remain vigilant and keep an eye out for if your child begins to display any of the main or even precautionary symptoms. Yesterday, Miss Cook sent out up-to-date guidance so please refer to that if you are unsure of our school procedures.

We will continue to follow our COVID-19 protocols in school with regards to regular handwashing, use of sanitiser and ventilation.

Please stay in contact via our Y4 email address.

Many thanks

The Year 4 Team

Y4 Base Camp

This half-term, Y4 will be going into Base Camp once a week. Our Base Camp session will take place on a Friday afternoon (first session will be on Friday 12th November 2021). Given the changeable weather conditions at this time of year, please ensure that your child comes equipped with old clothing, a waterproof coat and suitable footwear in a plastic bag with their name on.

Thank you for your support,

Mrs Fenn and Mr Jackson

We are very excited to announce that children in Year 4 will be taking part in a ’Big Fancy Dress Singalong’ in aid of Children in Need to help raise money for child mental health projects on Friday 5th November 2021. The children will be filmed by the BBC and the video will be on local social media via BBC Radio Shropshire’s Facebook page.

We hope that you will help us to raise money for this worthy cause by following the link below:

Home learning for children who are isolating

If your child is isolating, please see below for ideas for their home learning. Please note that online lessons are not running as teachers will be teaching lessons in the classroom to the rest of the class.

  • Complete spellings (these should be on the website).
  • Practise times tables
  • Play on TTRS
  • Read daily and record in diaries. Remember your child can read online books on Fiction Express and Bug Club.
  • Play on Spelling Shed.

Your child’s logins are located in their diary. If you do not have access to this, please send an email to the Y4 email address.

Many thanks,

The Y4 Team
