We would like to remind all parents and carers to park and drive considerately during school drop-off and collection times.
We have recently received concerns from local residents regarding vehicles entering and using a private driveway on Maxfield Crescent for turning, waiting, or parking. We respectfully ask all families to avoid entering any private driveways, parking spaces, or residential land when bringing children to and from school.
We appreciate that the location of our school is not always ideal in terms of accessibility and that parking can be challenging at busy times of the day. However, we ask all members of our school community to be mindful of our neighbours and to avoid causing disruption or inconvenience to local residents.
Where possible, families may wish to consider alternative arrangements such as parking a little further away and walking the remainder of the journey to school, car sharing with other families, or encouraging older pupils to cycle or scoot to school where it is safe and appropriate to do so. These options can help to reduce congestion around the school and contribute to a safer environment for everyone.
We have also sought advice from our local Community Police Team regarding this matter and will continue to work with residents and local partners to promote safe and considerate parking practices.
