Reception Dino Day 2022 ๐Ÿฆ–

What a fantastic day in Reception today to mark the end of our Dinosaur topic.
We had great fun reading dinosaur stories, making dinosaur skeleton pictures, making binoculars, role playing in our costumes, playing dinosaur games and best of all meeting a gigantic T-Rex ๐Ÿฆ–ย who decided to invade our PE lesson!
Thank you to all for the wonderful costumes provided. They really brought the day to life.

Reception Star of the Week ๐Ÿ’ซ

Well done to Jessica for being this week’s star in our class. You have continually worked really hard and it shows in the great progress you are making. Your reading has come on leaps and bounds and we canโ€™t fail to see what a great artist you are.

Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 Information

A notice to parents / carers that as a school our Bug Club subscription is coming to an end. This online book resource was originally sourced to support online learning during the school closures, so will no longer be needed.

We will now continue to send home hard copies of reading books to support reading at home. If you did want to access any online books, the Oxford Owl website continues to offer a selection of levelled books that parents can sign up to for free at home.

Please ask if you have any questions.

Reception Extra PE Session

Reception are lucky enough to have been offered an additional P.E crossbar session on Tuesday next week (29th), so please could children come dressed in PE kit that day too. This is a one-off and will return to Wednesday and Fridays only the following week.

Thank you

The Reception Team

Comic Relief 2022

Reception loved coming in red, superhero clothes, comfy clothes and of course red noses today. Thank you for your support at home. They really enjoyed joining in activities to mark the day.

Reception Star of the Week!

Well done Jack for being this week’s star in our class! You have worked hard every day as always. You have especially impressed us with your wonderful Maths.

Reception Key Messages

Children are invited to wear dress down clothes for comic relief on Friday (please see previous school notices for more information), therefore children will not need to wear PE kit on Friday and will not be required to bring it in.

Please could we ask parents and carers to check the school menu with their child (found on the homepage of our website) and discuss prior to coming in to school whether they would like a hot school dinner or school sandwiches that day. We have noticed that a number of children selecting school sandwiches in particular, are then reluctant to have the accompanying items with their sandwich, such as yoghurt, salad etc. We really do try to encourage them to eat enough for a busy day at school so deciding ahead and making them aware of what is on the menu is really helpful.

Thank you, The Reception team :)

Star of the Week ๐Ÿ’ซ

We are so proud of Pixie-Belle for being our star this week. She is a role model to everyone because she works so hard everyday in every lesson. She always comes to school with a smile on her face and a positive attitude. Well done ๐Ÿ˜Š

World Book Day ๐ŸŒ ๐Ÿ“š

Reception loved dressing up and taking part in all the celebrations today. Thank you for providing such great costumes.
We enjoyed sharing so many different stories, including the books you shared from home.
