Week 8 Book of the week -Room on the Broom

Room on the Broom – Julia Donaldson.. Children’s Story. Audiobook – read-aloud.

Enjoy listening and discussing this story at home this week. Even better if you have the actual book.

Enjoy!

Story of the Week-28th Sept-2nd Oct

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wsW9hJe8jZY

Badger’s Bath by Nick Butterworth is our story of the week.

Please listen to the story at home and chat with your child about what happens.

Here are some other question ideas:

-Why was the badger so dirty at the start of the story?

-Can you name three things Percy put into the bath?

-How do you think Percy felt when he turned around and Badger was completely gone?

-Where did Badger go when he ran away from the bath?

Welcome!

We want to say a warm welcome back to our returning children and an equally big welcome to our new starters.

It has been such a positive week in Cherry Blossoms and Mighty Oaks.

The children have been having so much fun meeting new friends and sharing all their stories from the Summer.

Thankyou to all the parents who have got their children so beautifully organised with coats, forest school kits, lunch bags and spare clothes etc.

All of the name labelling you have been doing is such a massive help too.

Forest school clothes

Hello

Our first allotment session was a great success, thank you for sending your children in with an appropriate change of clothes.
Our second session is due on Weds 26th April.
Could you please send your child in with Forest school clothes in a separate bag on this day.
Forest school clothes that are waterproof are particularly useful e.g waterproof trousers, anorak and wellies.
We will also be going on our Spring Nature Walk on this day.

Many thanks,

The Year 3 Team
