Reception Parents Evening

Hello. On Tuesday 8th March we sent out letters to inform you of our upcoming Parents Evening next week. When an appointment has been made, your appointment time will be stuck in your child’s reading diary.

Kind Regards The Reception Team

Expressive Arts

Reception have had lots of fun making their own rockets. We have been practised using tools to join them together and have choice over the colours we use. Blast off!

Merry Christmas Reception!

We would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Your first term in Reception is complete. How fast it has gone! We couldn’t be prouder of how hard you have worked and all the progress you have made. We hope you have a wonderful, fun holiday and return to us safe and sound in January for a new exciting theme.

No spellings will be issued this week. We will give out a new set after the holidays.

Children in Reception are invited to  bring in their favourite toy (possibly a Christmas gift they are proud of) to share in this terms show and tell session on the first day back after the holiday Wednesday 5th January 2022.

We cannot wait to see and hear all about them!

Mrs Evans and Mrs Sturrocks’ Winter Wonderland

The weather was not so kind to us this morning, so a massive thank you for your patience and understanding with the quick change of plans. The children absolutely loved being able to spend some time with you making their decorations. We would love to see what they look like hanging up at home. We hope you enjoyed the children’s singing as they have worked so hard to learn all the words.
Here are just a few pictures. Further pictures will be sent out individually through Evidence Me.
Merry Christmas 🎄

Farm on Wheels

The children had lots of fun today when the Farm on wheels paid us a visit. We were lucky enough to see a Donkey, Sheep , Turkey, Chickens and a Guinea Pig. The lady told us whether they were a boy or a girl , told us about their appearance and we even got to stroke them all. We were very careful and made sure we washed our hands carefully after we returned to class.

Music

Reception had lots of fun taking part in a music session today with Mr Wilcox.

Spelling Scores

Well done to all the Reception children for trying so hard with their first set of spellings. We are so proud of you. The spelling records are stuck in the back of their reading diary so you can see how they have got on. Many thanks for your support at home. The Reception team
