Yummy yummy in your tummies

I love your photographs of our suggested activities. Cooking pancakes and decorating them with happy smiley faces. I see you also enjoyed the emotions activities and pulled some rather funny looking facial expressions, made me chuckle out loud πŸ˜„ so here they are from the pictures to drawing all very, very good and funny to look at. πŸ˜„β˜ΉοΈπŸ˜‹πŸ˜πŸ˜Ž

Trampoline Athlon

A massive round of applause to Ella and Ethan Wood who came up with the idea of doing a trampoline- Athlon to raise money for The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust. What a wonderful thing you did and we all at Newdale School and Nursery are so, so proud of you both. I believe you raised more than you thought, this is great news and going towards a much needed course. So again from us all here Well done super stars. βœ¨πŸŒˆβ€οΈπŸ‘

Wonderful Wednesday cooking

I wrote a poem called Rainbows days last week and the very last sentence says. Smiling at one and they smile at you. I think this fits perfectly with this weeks activities Mrs Cleobury has suggested. Smiling at someone is a simple but easy and effective way to brighten someone’s day. So let’s have some fun with these pancakes and put some smiley faces on them.

You could even think about passing that smiling pancake on to a neighbour or a friend. Spread the smile today 😁🌈

Wonderful observations

Keep them coming because we love looking. You have all again done an amazing job. We’ve all had a nice week it’s clear to see, more milestones have been achieved. Your hand writing and reading is coming along nicely. Enjoying maths in so many different ways from activity sheets to playing games. Lots of you have been exploring our wonderful country side but more importantly respecting it and talking about the wild life and insects that you find.

We all had a big day to celebrate the 75th anniversary of VE Day and the weather was fab too for the garden party’s, dancing, painting your own t-shirts, dressing up, tea and cakes. πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§

Let’s celebrate VE Day

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§let’s get ready to celebrate VE Day this Friday by making some creative sandwiches for our Wonderful Wednesday activity. Have some fun and let your imagination flow while learning new skills. Enjoy πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§

Evidence me photos

Good morning all Newdalers. Well the weather certainly didn’t disappoint last week and it’s clear to see from your observations that you made the most of it.

You have accepted our challenges from your baking, portraits and phonics play.

It’s so nice to see family values and celebrations going on in your homes still in these unfortunate times we are going through. Happy Ramadan to those that are celebrating, happy birthday to the girls and boys getting older and taller. Well done on the mile stones you are achieving from riding your bikes without stabilisers, writing and reading words, counting and sorting beyond what you thought you ever could, solving problems set by your parents to the physical obstacles in your gardens that you raced around negotiating space with ease.

Stay safe, be happy you are all doing a great job.

Now here’s the evidence for us all to see, some super action shots in these.

Wonderful Wednesday’s cooking suggestion

Wonderful Wednesday Cooking this week looks so delicious I might just make them for tea myself. Yummy 😍

Carrying on with what comes from our farms this week, this recipe is pack with the goods from Cheese, flour, vegetables and so many more, enjoy 😊

Wonderful Wednesdays

Carrying on with our theme of farming in cooking and looking down my list of so many wonderful ideas from the children. Today’s suggestion comes from Tiger- lily in Blue Group. Tiger wanted to make Flap Jacks!

The main ingredient in flap jacks is oats. What are oats? Where does it come from?

Oats grow in fields like wheat and barley all year round. Crops sown in spring and harvested in August are called ‘spring oats‘. Crops sown in September and harvested in spring are called ‘winter oats‘.

The video clip link is very short and shows you how the farmer grows the wheat then how it goes through

the machines all the way to the shops. This video also shows you how the oats become yummy Porridge at the end, another great treat with a spoon of jam on top.

I’ve attached a really easy recipe for you to follow, but feel free to get experimenting by adding some of your favourite fruits πŸ‡ 🍏 πŸ’

Share your little ones creations with us, we’d all love to see. Have a wonderful Wednesday πŸ‘¨πŸΏβ€πŸ³πŸ‘©β€πŸ³
