Year 4 Maths Challenge

Congratulations to Niamh, Orla, Oliver and Daisy who were selected to represent our school at this year’s ‘Year 4 Maths Challenge’.

The children competed against 38 other school teams completing logic and reasoning based maths problems.

All four children worked exceptionally well as a team and were great ambassadors for the school!

Mrs Sturrock and Mrs Evans’ star of the week this week is Violet for excellent Literacy work. Violet worked really hard to write extended sentences and had beautiful handwriting and presentation. Well done Violet.

World Book Day

Reception had such a fantastic day today celebrating World Book Day. We dressed up as our favourite book character, enjoyed listening to and sharing a range of different stories, created our own book marks, took part in a ‘book scavenger hunt’ and lots more.

Thank you for providing such great costumes. Everyone looked fantastic and thoroughly enjoyed the day.

Mrs Sturrock and Mrs Evans’ ‘Star of the Week’ this week is Poppy for excellent phonics work. Well done Poppy, you are working so hard on your reading and writing and all the adults in Reception are very proud of you.

Halloween Crafts and Disco

Reception have had a super week completing spooky crafts, making and measuring magical potions, making their own 2D shape witch, making their own pumpkin and bat masks and lots more. We even finished off the week with a Halloween disco!
