Today we were lucky enough to have a music session with Mr Wilcox. In our warm up we performed actions to the beat. Then we practised our number bond to 10 song.

Today we were really lucky to have 2 sports sessions. For our first session we worked with Jason the Gymnastics coach to learn a range of gymnastics positions and moves. 

This afternoon Miss Taylor lead a yoga session. She retold the story of the Monkey puzzle and we performed yoga positions for the different characters. 

As part of healthy lifestyle week we will be running 1K a day. Well done for your super effort Reception.

At forest School we took part in a stem week activity. We had to work with our friends to design a trap to capture The Gruffalo who has been living there. We listened to each other’s suggestions and adapted our ideas throughout.

Today we took part in a Science investigation. We had to work out and predict whether an egg would float in fresh water or salt water. We had lots of fun exploring and found out that the salt makes the water denser, therefore causing the egg to float.

We all had a long lovely time on our nature walk. We enjoyed looking at our local area and were able to spot some holly, dandelions, buttercups, larch tree, gorse and a silver birch tree. We also had lots of fun finding dandelion clocks and seeing the seeds disperse.
