Diwali and Bonfire night

This week in Mighty Oaks we’ve been looking at how many around us and our friends are getting ready for their Diwali celebrations. The children took part in colouring activities and dancing. To finish the week off we talked about being safe around fireworks ready for the weekend ahead of bonfire night. hope you all enjoy 🎇🎆

Mighty Oaks Halloween party

We had a day full of treats yesterday, the children starting the party off by showing their friends their dressing up clothes. Then we had some yummy hot dogs and party food followed by more fun and games. 🎃👻

Mighty oaks wonderful Wednesday’s

The children have had a great time exploring and investigating our outdoors areas and trying out new skills in cooking club.

In forest school we have been talking about the changes in the seasons and what that brings along with it. The children have been investigating and recalling their findings.

In cooking club we have been talking about how our ingredients change throughout the recipes, then the best bit decorating them.

Evidence me app

Hopefully now we have got most of you set up with the evidence me app for you to see your child’s online learning profile, in which we share with you your child’s progress alongside photos and observations.

On these observations you will see next steps that have been set from your children’s key person in nursery.

Using this app from home. To help us you can from home do the same, by sharing photos of something they have achieved or experienced. Please remember to tell us anything they may have said or what they did it that moment, then we as key persons will link it to the area of learning.

Those that have not yet got themselves up and running, you will be receiving a letter to reply with your email as soon as we have this you will get an email from support@2eskimos.com asking you to confirm that you would like to participate.

Thank you and if you have any queries please don’t hesitate to ask.

Welcome back Mighty Oaks

The children have had a fantastic start back to Mighty Oaks , they’ve enjoyed exploring our investigation areas and the outside play ground.

On Tuesdays we are very lucky to have the cross bar PE coaches with us teaching the morning children lots of different activities and games.

If your child attends the morning sessions on Tuesdays, please can you make sure they have sensible footwear to join in and a little reminder to label their clothing and bottles.

Farewell to Mighty Oaks leavers.

It’s that time of year again, to our leavers.

Although we are not their mothers, we care for them each day, we cuddle, sing and to read them, and watch them as they play.

We see each new accomplishment, help them grow and learn, we understand their language, we listen with concern.

They come to us for comfort, we kiss away their tears, they proudly show their work to us, we give the loudest cheers!

No, we’re not their mothers, but our role is just a strong, we nurture them and keep them safe, though maybe not for long. We know someday the time will come, when they will have to part.

But we know each child we cared for, is forever in our hearts!
