Goodbye for now

Becky Fenn, who is mostly stationed in ladybugs, as some of you may have guessed, is expecting a baby.  Her last day in nursery will be Friday 26th May.  I’m sure you’ll all join me in wishing her well and we can’t wait to meet her new bundle of joy.  If your child is in her key group you will be informed of their new keyworker.

Exciting times!

School readiness

You are invited to attend a short meeting on Thursday 22nd June at 8.30.  This will be led by Lynsey Ray from the NHS who is a Healthy Child Programme Practioner.  She has lots of useful information about immunisation, infection control, toileting, sleep, nutrition and dental health.  Lynsey will also be able to signpost you to further websites.  Please feel free to come along, we expect to be finished by 9am.

Parking outside school

Dear parents,

We know some of you need to drive your children to school, but please can we ask that you ensure you are not blocking anyone’s driveway or parking on private driveways etc. in the vicinity of the school.

Many thanks,

Miss Cook

Treeific Tuesday

After Easter we will changing our rota for our Treeific Tuesday sessions in Mighty oaks.

In the morning blue, purple and orange groups will be heading to the woods with yellow, red and green group staying in nursery to cook.  We will swap over in the afternoon with red, yellow and green groups going to the woods and orange, purple and blue group cooking.

If you are unsure which group your child is in please just ask at the gate.

Your child will need wellies and a change of shoe if they are heading to the woods.  In addition, please send them in wearing clothes that they can get a bit messy in.  We do still need your child to be wearing either leggings or thin trousers in hotter weather to prevent the children being stung by any nettles they brush past.  On wet and muddy days we will provide them with a waterproof coat and trousers.

Thank you for your support
