Cool Cat visiting school and nursery from 6th-10th October 2025

Cool Cat will be making an appearance at Newdale each morning of next week – Cool Cat cannot wait to greet the children who are on time into school and nursery, make sure you give Cool Cat a high five or a cuddle when you walk past!

Thank you to all who arrive on time – our lessons start each morning promptly at 8:30am for nursery and 8:40am for school. It’s such a positive start to the day when the children all start together.

Book Fair Rewards

We used the reward money from the Book Fair that we did in March to order these fabulous books. They have been shared across the school for our children to enjoy. We hope to carry out another book fair later this year.

Movie Nights

To raise money towards activities for the Healthy Lifestyles Week (held in June), members of School Parliament have once again organised fundraising film nights. Movie Nights will take place on the below dates from 3:10pm – 5pm.

Year 1,2 & 3 – Tuesday 21st October

Year 4, 5 & 6 – Tuesday 14th October

The children will be watching Despicable Me 4 (PG) At the end of the film, please collect children from their own classrooms as usual.

British Value’s Week

Last week, we had a fun- filled week to celebrate our British Values week. Children were taught about our British Values and the importance of respecting differences.

Events included:  grandparents’ stay and share, European Day of Languages and the elections for our new School Parliament members. We even had a visit from the Mayor of Telford to meet our newly elected School Parliament members and give out their badges.
