Art Day 2026

This year’s Art Day will be held on Wednesday 24th June. Children are invited to come to school in non-uniform for a suggested donation of £1 (via Parentpay). The theme of this year’s Art Day is Landscapes and Portraits. We are very lucky to welcome back Ironbridge Fine Arts who will be bringing in their printing presses and running workshops with children in Year 1 – 4.  Children in these classes will need to bring in Tetrapak or Pure-Pak cartons to make their printing plates before Art Day. Please could you open up the cartons and ensure that they are clean and dry before sending them into school with your child. If you have any spares, we would gladly take a few extras too! Thank you for your support.

Arbor notifications

We have had some parents inform us that they are not receiving messages through the Arbor app or know that they have been sent a message.

Please can you ensure that you have ‘push notifications or allow notifications’ enabled on the Arbor app. You will then receive a notification similar to a SMS message on your home screen to alert you to a message in Arbor.

This setting can usually be made on your phone via settings>apps>then select the Arbor app.

Safeguarding, Health & Safety Governors Involvement

The Health and Safety Governors met on 4th June. They began by reviewing the action plan following the completion of the local authority safeguarding audit and were pleased to note that most actions have now been completed.

They spent time examining the Modified Timetable protocol, ensuring they fully understood how best practice involves engaging outside professionals and parents at every stage of the process. Governors also spoke with Mr McFarland (SENDCo) and several pupils with complex needs to explore their knowledge and understanding of safeguarding, particularly for more vulnerable learners. They were reassured with the children’s responses.

In addition, the Governors met with a Teaching Assistant to gain her perspective on the recent serious fire incident and to understand how policy and procedures operated during a real emergency. They were encouraged to hear that she felt the event was handled safely and effectively, especially given the seriousness of the situation.

Finally, the Governors spent time on the playground gathering parent voice. We look forward to analysing the responses from parents at the next meeting.

Achievement Assembly

Friday 5th June 2026

Healthy Lifestyles Week has been a great success, and we have been so proud of the children for engaging so well with every activity. They’ve taken part in Box fit, Zumba, kickboxing, Crossbar inflatables, a ninja warrior course, wheelie days, Bhangra dancing, hockey and so much more. The week finished on a high with a whole school Colour Run, which every child absolutely loved. Weeks like this are so important because they help our children discover new ways to stay active and develop healthy habits that support both their physical and mental wellbeing.
