Thank you and hopefully see you all there.

Week 2 in Mighty Oaks

This week, inspired by the book Owl Babies, we’ve been learning all about owls and their habitats, their way of life, and what makes them such fascinating creatures. The children explored these ideas through a range of creative activities, using their imaginations to retell the story and think about how owls live in the wild.

Our cooking session was a big hit! The children helped chop the vegetables to make a delicious savoury rice dish with mixed veggies and a hint of curry. It made the perfect simple, warming autumn-winter snack for the afternoon, healthy, filling, and full of lovely flavours.

Later in the week, things got a little spotty and a little yellow as we celebrated Pudsey Day! The children enjoyed dancing, playing, and getting crafty, joining in the fun while supporting a great cause.

Grandparents come to celebrate harvest

Thank you to all that attended our grandparents Autumn harvest sing along.
It was lovely seeing you all and having a chat. We hope you enjoyed the singing, they’ve worked so hard on practicing.

Ladybugs

Ladybugs have been learning about harvest ‘what’s a scarecrow?’ ‘Why are they on the farm?’ 🚜
They have been thrilled to learn an array of different songs that link to harvest and have explored lots of vegetables and natural materials linking to the celebration 🍁
We have done lots of sharing and our ladybug puppet has made an appearance to ensure the children are using kind hands 🙂

We got to meet the nursery Guinea pigs on Friday afternoon and the children did so well using their gentle hands 🖐️

Great week little ladybugs, your growing in confidence and showing some lovely skills and abilities to build relationships ☺️
