Reception Welcome Back

We are really looking forward to welcoming everybody back tomorrow for the Summer term! We are sure you had a lovely break and look forward to hearing all about it.

We cannot wait to start our brand new topic all about growing this half term and think you will enjoy our new garden centre role play areas.

Please note a change in PE days this term. PE days for Reception will now be on a Monday and Thursday. Children are to come dressed in their PE kit uniform on those days.

Forest School will now be on a Thursday afternoon and separate kits are needed for this.

With the lovely weather, please consider sun hats and water bottles and we also ask you to apply sun cream at home before coming to school. Please do label every item of clothing, as you can imagine in the warmer months, the children may take of cardigans and jumpers when needed. In the event of your child misplacing their belongings, this will help them to be reunited with the correct person.

Thank you for your support.

NSPCC Speak Out Stay Safe

We will be participating in the NSPCC’s Speak Out Stay Safe programme during the week starting 17th March. This important initiative aims to educate children about the different forms of abuse, how to recognise the signs, and the importance of speaking out to stay safe. The programme includes engaging virtual assemblies and interactive classroom activities designed to empower children with the knowledge and confidence to seek help if needed. We believe this programme will greatly benefit our students and support our school’s safeguarding efforts. Please see the attached letter for more information.

Happy Half Term and farewell Miss Hodgetts.

Wow! Half a year all done of Reception already. ☺️
We are so proud of the progress everyone has made already! You deserve a fantastic rest over the half term holiday. We cannot wait to hear about your break when you come back.

We would also like to thank Miss Hodgetts for all her hard work this year and wish her all the best as she leaves today for her maternity leave. We will all miss you. Good luck Miss Hodgetts and let us know when you have some wonderful news to share 😁

Reception – Staffing update

Dear Parents/Carers of Reception children,

Mrs Cleobury is very pleased to announce that she is expecting her third bundle of joy.

We all hope that Mrs Cleobury will be supporting her class until May half term, at which point she will begin her maternity leave.

We are really lucky to already have two existing teaching assistants that support in each of our Reception classes. This will ensure continued high quality provision over the last half term.

We all wish Mrs Cleobury and her family the very best of luck.

Miss Cook
