Coronavirus Update

Latest DfE Update

The importance of hygiene

Personal hygiene is the most important way we can tackle COVID-19, especially washing hands more; and the catch it, bin it, kill it strategy for those with coughs and sneezes.

Wash your hands more often for 20 seconds with soap and hot water

In addition to handwashing before eating, and after coughing and sneezing, both children and staff should also wash hands after using toilets and travelling on public transport.

In line with this Newdale will increase the amount of handwashing the children undertake in school to help with the current situation.

On top of what they should be doing (washing hands after going to the toilet/before lunch/when dirty through forest school/class activity etc) ALL CHILDREN are to wash their hands on entry to the classroom in the morning, after playtime and also after lunch.

EYFS Spring Sing a Long Nursery and Reception

We will be holding two spring sing a long assemblies on Thursday 2nd April 2020.  One at 9.15am and the second at 2.30pm.  Parents/Carer’s are welcome to attend, no tickets necessary.

Watching the men working on the diggers.

On Friday Purple and Red group went on a little walk to see the diggers working. While we were there the very kind gentlemen explained to the children that they were in the middle of making the big road. The children asked him some questions, like ” what are those big road things” He told us they are called waste pipes. We were even allowed to take away some rubber tube. We are going to collect materials each time we vist to go towards our art project.
