Harry Potter Reminders

Please see the reminders and updates regarding our Harry Potter trip on Tuesday 6th February.

Travel sickness: If your child suffers from travel sickness, please give them a tablet prior to dropping them off at school.

Should they require an additional tablet for the return journey, please inform us via your child’s reading diary. We will then provide you with a medication form, which needs to be returned to school, along with the tablet in its original packaging.

Departure: The bus will be at the bus stop on Rock Road and not at school, so please bring your child here and stay with them until the adults arrive and allow them to enter the bus.

Please note we will be getting on the bus at 6.45am and leaving at 7am. We will not be able to wait for children who are late.

Children need to bring a packed lunch and drink with them. Please can this be in a plastic bag, or small, empty backpack, as the children will need to go through security and carry their bags around with them all day.

Children are to wear their school uniform, with comfortable trainers.

We will update you with an estimated time of arrival back at school via the website and social media. We hope for this to be by 5.30pm.

Thank you for your continued support.

Mr McFarland.

Year 5 – Harry Potter Trip

The Year 5 trip to Harry Potter studios is fast approaching – please see the key details below about timings. Further reminders will be sent closer to the date.

Tuesday 6th February 2024.

-Children to arrive from 6.45am. The bus will be parked at the bus stop on Rock Road, when adults are present, the children will be able to board the bus.

-Adults will be present at school to direct you there if needed.

-We will be leaving at 7am sharp, so please ensure your child is on time as the earlier we arrive, the more time the children have to explore the studios.

-We will not be able to stop on our journey, so please ensure your child has had their breakfast and been to the toilet.

-The children will be given a snack on arrival and we hope to have at least 4 hours at the studios and we will update you with pictures from the trip via social media.

-Children will need to bring a packed lunch on the day. We will be leaving the studios by 2.30pm and hope to be back in Telford between 5 – 5.30pm depending on traffic. Miss Cook will send updates regarding our arrival.

-All children should wear school uniform with comfortable trainers.

-Children are not to take spending money as time constraints and costs of items in the shop mean that this will not be possible.

Please note if your child suffers from travel sickness, please ensure they have taken medication for this prior to the trip.

Thank you for your continued support. If there are any further questions, please email newdale.year5team@taw.org.uk
