Health Strategy Survey

Dear Parents/Carers,

The Telford Health Improvement team and I would be really grateful to parents if they could spend just a few minutes filling in the attached survey.

As an incentive, we are offering a £25 Love2Shop voucher to one lucky person who does!

All you have to do is fill in the survey, then let the office staff know you have. They will collect names and then one lucky person will be pulled out of a hat!

It is really important that we gather community thoughts on health matters in our borough, as your opinions really do drive change and the offer we have across Telford.

The survey is live until 2nd October.  Link to survey attached below.

Pastoral Team update

Dear Parents/Carers,

As many of you will have noticed, Mrs Powell is not with us at the moment. Mrs Powell is very much missing her role in Newdale and we are all very much missing Mrs Powell.

She is not well enough to carry out her role at this time and I know you will all join me in wishing her well.

In the short term, Mrs Poole, our SENDco is leading the Pastoral team with Mrs Byrne-Corbett and Mrs Cooper supporting.

We are unsure as to when Mrs Powell will return but felt it important to update everyone as I know some parents and children have been asking.

If you need to contact a member of the Pastoral team, you can do on Newdale.inclusion@taw.org.uk or catch them on duty at the beginning and end of each day.

Kind regards,

Miss Cook

Malinsgate Police Station Open Day

Malinsgate Police Station are opening their doors to the public on Sunday 10th September 2023, between 12pm and 4pm, for a unique look behind the scenes of West Mercia Police.

The public are invited to come along to meet their local policing teams, as well as explore the station’s custody suite. People will get the chance investigate a crime scene, meet our police dogs, speak to their local officers and even find out how they could join West Mercia Police. The event is open to all ages, and entertainment for children will also be provided.

Inspector Richard Jones, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for the public to come along and meet some of their local officers and share any concerns or thoughts they may have with us. The day will offer members of the public a unique look at what a working police station looks like, as well being able to sit in a police car and visit custody. There will also be lots of entertainment in place for children, including a guest appearance by our force’s mascot PC Peeler. The event is completely free, and I would encourage anyone interested in policing, or anyone who wants to experience first hand what our job looks like, to come along on the day.”

A number of external exhibitors are also expected to be there on the day, including other emergency services. If you have family and friends who would love to have an insight into policing, or to have a fun day out then tell them about the police open day at Malinsgate.
