Last day of term

As you are all aware, our last day of this academic year is Monday 24th July 2023. To celebrate the end of the school year, we are having a summer celebration with the children, including our nursery children. Please see details of this on the leaflet attached to this post.

The school will be having a Teddy Bears’ Picnic outside (weather permitting!). Children are being encouraged to bring in their teddy or soft toy to accompany them for lunch.  Hot dinner of pizza will be available for school lunch on this day. Due to only having one school day that week, the kitchen staff are unable to order perishable goods, which would normally be used to make school sandwiches. If your child would like sandwiches that day, these will need bringing in from home.

Children will be able to come into school in dress down clothes. The timings of the school day will remain the same. Please note that this is a statutory day; therefore, we expect to see all children as we would during the rest of the term.

We look forward to having a great last day of this academic year with our Newdalers!

School Books

Dear Parents / Carers,

It is nearly the end of the year and we ask that you could please have a root around on bookshelves / under beds (!) etc. to see if any school books have hidden themselves away? We are especially keen to recover some lost Read, Write, Inc books, but also any books with ‘SLS’ yellow stickers on that we will need to return to the library service.

Many thanks,

Mrs J Thomas

Summer Fayre

Dear Parents/Carers,

Thank you for attending our Summer Fayre last week.

We made £2149.60, which is of course amazing.

As I hope you know, we subsidise the vast majority of our school trips and visits for all parents and the money we raised will go towards this.

Your support is invaluable in enabling us to get your children out and about as often as possible. This trip/visitor offer enriches the learning experiences for all children.

Thank you again.
