Year 5 residential information

As the Year 5 residential is fast approaching, we wanted to remind you of key information which you need to know beforehand.

• We will be leaving school on Wednesday 1st April 2020 at 9:30 am. Please arrive at school at normal time with your luggage as normal.
• Children will need to wear their casual clothes and have their coat. They should have with them their overnight bag (please make sure children know what’s inside) and a packed lunch in a carrier bag (their other bags will be stowed away and not accessible on the coach) to eat when we arrive at Warner Brother Studios at around 2pm. Please ensure you pack enough snacks to keep them going for the day, including a bottle of water.
• Please remember that the children will need their full school uniform for our visit to Parliament.
• If your child requires medication, this must be brought in on the morning of Monday 30th March 2020 along with a medication form.
• If you would like to provide your child with spending money (this is optional), please bring this in on Monday 30th March 2020 in a named envelope. Please note that it is a maximum of £10.
• Evening food and food for the next day is provided by the school.
• We will be returning on Thursday 2nd April. We aim to be back at school for 19:00. If for any reason we are earlier/later, we will update Facebook/the website but plan to be at school for 19:00. Please note that the carpark will not be open.

Shropshire Schools Sport Festival- Hockey and Gymnastics

The hockey team did a fantastic job of representing Telford and Wrekin and the Shropshire School Games. They won all 5 of their games comfortably and went on to the final. The end score of the final was 1-1 forcing the game to go to penalty shuffles. We tried our best but were pipped to the post by Prestfelde School.

The gymnastics team did a fantastic job of representing Telford and Wrekin and the Shropshire School Games. The team had to perform a body management routine, a floor routine then on the vault. Newdale came 3rd overall.
