Shrove Tuesday

We enjoyed making pancakes and have learnt about Shrove Tuesday.

Shrove Tuesday

Reception enjoyed making pancakes this morning but they enjoyed eating them even more. Yum Yum.
We linked our cooking to maths and measuring and we ensured we all followed health and hygiene rules.

Eatwell project

Today some of reception took part in the eatwell project. We learnt how to cook pizza muffins. We learnt lots of great skills and it was really fun.
The children that didn’t cook today will be cooking the pizza muffins after half term :)

Sports after school clubs

All sports clubs are now live on Parentpay for after half term. The clubs are as follows;

Monday- KS1 Football

Tuesday- KS2 Football, Gymnastics

Wednesday- Streetdance, Cross country and Year 2-6 Multi sports

Thursday- Year 2-6 Girls Football

Friday- Year 2-6 Dodgeball

  • Please note that cross country training is only running for 4 weeks.

Forest School Cancelled tomorrow for Reception

Due to the bad weather, forest school will be cancelled tomorrow ( Monday 10th February). Children will not need their kit in school. Many thanks Mrs Evans and Miss Broadhurst

A visit from the fire service

Today we were extremely lucky for one of the parents to visit our school with his fire engine and two other firemen.
They talked to us about the role of a fireman or woman and the equipment they use. We even got to have a go at squirting water from the hoses and a sit in the fire engine.

Thank you so much to Freddie’s dad and the firemen for coming.
