Important Notice Regarding Parking Near School

We would like to remind parents and carers that parking on residents’ driveways, or blocking access to them, is not permitted. This causes significant inconvenience to local residents and can prevent them from accessing their own homes.

We are aware that parking access around the school site is limited, particularly at busy drop-off and collection times. However, consideration must be given to those who live nearby, and we ask that all parents park responsibly and legally.

We have received specific complaints regarding a VW Passat being parked on a resident’s driveway. An image of this vehicle has been shared with the school and is being passed on to the relevant traffic control agencies. Residents have also been advised to report incidents directly and to provide photographic evidence where appropriate.

Please be aware that if parking on residents’ driveways or blocking access continues, further action may be taken by residents, including contacting parking enforcement or the local authority.

We appreciate your cooperation in helping to maintain positive relationships with our local community and ensuring everyone’s safety.

Thank you for your understanding and support.

Miss Cook

Safeguarding, Health & Safety Governors Involvement

The Health and Safeguarding governors met last week and spent a lot of time looking at the important topic of E safety. They received an update from our E safety lead which included hearing about our filtering and monitoring systems, our E Safety risk assessment and AI usage. They then went onto to interview a group of Year 6 pupils. They were impressed with the knowledge these children had in how to stay safe online.

The Governors also looked at our first aid procedures and checked our staff Single Central Record (SCR). They concluded the meeting by feeding back from their previous parent voice session linked to safeguarding. They plan to repeat this session in order to gain more feedback.
