Merry Christmas Reception!

We would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Your first term in Reception is complete. How fast it has gone! We couldn’t be prouder of how hard you have worked and all the progress you have made. We hope you have a wonderful, fun holiday and return to us safe and sound in January for a new exciting theme.

No spellings will be issued this week. We will give out a new set after the holidays.

Children in Reception are invited to  bring in their favourite toy (possibly a Christmas gift they are proud of) to share in this terms show and tell session on the first day back after the holiday Wednesday 5th January 2022.

We cannot wait to see and hear all about them!

Star of the Week 🌟

Well done Isla for earning our star of the week this week. We have been so happy to have you in our class at Newdale. You have been a kind friend and worked very hard every day.

We loved our special visit from Mr & Mrs Claus today. We heard a special Christmas story and made a special wish when Mrs Christmas stirred her magic mince pie mix.

Reception Key Dates Reminder

Thursday 9th December – Flu immunisations

Friday 10th December – Deadline for bringing in Christmas cards for friends to isolate and give out next week

Friday 10th December – Visit from Mr and Mrs Claus

Tuesday 14th December – Christmas dinner day (Please wear Christmas jumper)

Reception Winter Wonderland ⛄️

The weather was not so kind to us this morning, so a massive thank you for your patience and understanding with the quick change of plans. The children absolutely loved being able to spend some time with you making their decorations. We would love to see what they look like hanging up at home. We hope you enjoyed the children’s singing as they have worked so hard to learn all the words.
Here are just a few pictures. Further pictures will be sent out individually through Evidence Me.

Winter Wonderland

Dear Parents of reception children,

We are going ahead with the Winter Wonderland event despite the cruel weather.

We have a plan b where we can use the hall should we need to.

Meet up still outside Basecamp please.

Please dress up warm!

Christmas Card Reminder

A reminder that if you wish to send friends in school a Christmas card this year, please send them in by December 10th. We will then be able to send them home with friends in the final week.
Please ask if you wish for a name list.

Winter Wonderland Reminder for Reception classes

Monday 6th December

9:15am Mrs Evans’ Class      11am Miss Hailey’s Class.

Location: Basecamp—situated across the visitor carpark.

 

Please remember to bring your own mug for hot chocolate. Please bring one for your child too (we are trying to be environmentally friendly!)

1 visitor is allowed per child to join the festivities.

 

You can take photographs, but please do not share on social media unless it is of your own child only as we do have children who do not have consent for public photographs.
