Parents Evenings

Reception’s parents’ evening is the week beginning Monday 11th November. Paper letters were sent home last week with the children. If you haven’t filled in the form please do so and return to your child’s teacher.

Y1-6 parent’s evenings will be during the week beginning Monday 2nd December. Please note that we have reverted back to our old system for arranging appointments. For the last couple of years, we have used an online booking system. This system came with an annual subscription of £1,000, which was used only twice a year. Due to tighter budgets this year, we have decided to move back to our old system (paper letters) and put the £1,000 towards subsidising for trips and visits.

Many thanks

Applying for Secondary School place for 2025

Deadline for applying for your child’s secondary school place is Thursday 31st October 2024.

Please note: Parents can submit up to four preference schools on their application and we encourage parents to apply for more than one school as, if we are unable to offer their preferred school they may be allocated a school that is some distance away if their catchment school is already full.  Each year we do see a lot of applications that have only one preference which can lead to a lot of disappointment when allocated a school some distance from their home address.

European Day of Languages

Year 6 had a wonderful time yesterday celebrating European Day of Languages and learning all about Germany. During our research of major cities in Germany, we found out many interesting facts. Did you know that the custom of turning cartwheels came from Dusseldorf and Dresden invented toothpaste? We then had the opportunity to taste many delicious German foods: pretzels, bratwurst, stollen and even pickled cucumber!
