Strike Action information

Dear Parents/Carers,

You will have heard that the National Education Union (NEU) have confirmed that their teaching members have voted for strike action.

The NEU trade union are inviting their teaching members to strike for a number of days following national ballots on the issue on pay and funding.

Individual members have a choice to strike or not and they cannot be forced to strike.

The strike action does not include support staff or teachers from any other trade union.

At Newdale we do have a significant number of NEU members, however we are able to remain fully operational.

If this situation changes for further strike action, I will give you as much notice as possible so as to arrange alternative childcare.

Kind regards,

Miss Cook

Crimestoppers

Last week, children at Newdale took part in Share Aware Week. They learnt about how to keep themselves safe in school, in their community and online.

Not only do we want to ensure our children are safe, we also want to make sure our Newdale families and individuals within our community are provided with the support to help to keep them safe.

Crimestoppers is a charity that gives people the power to speak up to stop crime, by phone and online, 24/7, 365 days a year.

They’ve been around since 1988. They’re independent. Everyone who gives them information stays 100% anonymous.

They won’t ask your name. Won’t judge. They just listen to what you know. When you hang up the phone or click ‘send’ on our anonymous online form, you’re done.

  • No police contact
  • No witness statements
  • No courts.

Every year, Crimestoppers help stop thousands of crimes. Speak up. Stay safe.
