E-Safety Top Tip – Friendship Week

This week is Friendship week (also known as anti-bullying week).  The theme for this year is ‘One Kind Word’ and we will be talking about how to start a ripple of kindness.

It is vital that children using the Internet understand the importance of being kind online.  You could share this video with your child, which helps to explain why we should be kind online.

If you need more support or guidance with online safety please contact a staff member or send us an email newdale.primary@taw.org.uk

Reception star 💫

Our star of the week this week is Alex. He was determined to do his best this week and has impressed us with his maths, literacy, phonics, singing and dancing ☺️

Looking after our oceans … 🐠🐟

This week, Years 1,2 and 3 listened to an assembly all about looking after our environment. Specifically, we learnt how we can help to keep our seas and oceans clean to make sure that we don’t damage sealife!

How does litter end up in our seas? (Clue: 💨)

Can you think of 2 things that we can recycle and 2 things that we can’t?

Why is it important to recycle?

Y4 Trip- earlier start time reminder

Dear Parents/Carers,

During the morning of Tuesday 16th November 2021, the Year 4 children will be visiting Molineux Football Stadium in Wolverhampton. To ensure we arrive on time for our tour and workshop, please can your child be at their classroom door at 8:20am on this day as we will be leaving at 8:30am due to potential rush-hour traffic. Although we will be arriving back during lunch time, please can you provide your child with a packed lunch rather than a school dinner.

Please note that children will not have PE on this day and will need to wear their full uniform.

On the coach ride, it is optional for children to wear face coverings.

Many thanks

The Y4 Team
