Miss Watson’s class – staffing update

Dear Parents/Carers,

It is with sadness that I must inform you that Mrs McPartland will be leaving Year 3 at the end of this half term. She has worked tirelessly as a class teaching assistant for the last few years but has accepted a job in a new sector.

Mrs McPartland, of course, will be sadly missed by everyone.

I know you will join me in wishing her the very best of luck.

We are currently in the process of trying to recruit Mrs McPartland’s replacement. In the meantime, existing members of our team will support Miss Watson in the classroom.

Kind regards,

Miss Cook

Year 1 – Shoes and socks

Good afternoon,

We kindly ask Year 1 parents to support their children in practising how to take off and put on their shoes and socks independently. This small skill makes a big difference during indoor PE lessons, helping us make the most of our time and ensuring a smooth start for everyone. Some children are currently finding this quite tricky, so a little extra practice at home would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your continued support!

Year 3 had a lovely morning hearing all about the role of the fire service in keeping our community safe. They discussed where in their homes they should have smoke alarms and what to do in the event of an emergency.

Both classes sat and listened beautifully and the Year 3 team were so proud of their behaviour. Well done Year 3!
