Farewell mighty oaks

Here we are at the end of what has been a really strange academic year. Despite having an unexpected break at home, the children came happily back to nursery and we have had a fantastic time. They’ve shown a wonderful attitude towards learning and their achievements have been numerous and their smiles have been infectious.

All of us here at Newdale nursery are going to miss them dearly and wish them well in their new journeys. Thank you for all your continued support from home and through out the year.

Nursery Activities Friday 17th July

Good morning nursery, it is a special funky Friday today as it is our last day before the holidays!

Today will be our last suggested activities in the current format (we have put together some fun activities for you to take part in on a weekly basis over the summer if you wish).

I have enjoyed putting together resources for you to take part in over the weeks, but really all the lovely learning and growing has been achieved by your own families. You have all worked so hard so you should be very proud of yourselves!

If you are starting Ladybugs, moving to Mighty Oaks or beginning your journey into our Reception in September, just know that we all feel the same and the staff are ready with warm hearts and big smiles to continue to help you grow and learn. A huge good luck and virtual cuddles to all our children that are moving to different schools, we know you will make everyone proud and flourish!

We hope you have a relaxing summer holidays, we all deserve it I think! I for one will be wishing for some sunshine and hoping you all have lots of fun!

Nursery Activities Monday 13th July

Good morning nursery,

Welcome to our final week of our suggested activities in the current format. It has been over 12 weeks since we began our daily planning, we hope that you have found it useful! Throughout the summer holidays, nursery will continue to provide fun weekly activities for you to take part in if you wish :)

Our final week will be a fun week, we have all worked so hard and we are so so proud of you all! Please see below for our first activities which include a walk to collect resources to make a picture.

Mighty Oaks mini Olympics

Nursery took part in the mini Olympics today by using the P.E equipment to make an assault course.

Mighty Oaks

Here at mighty oaks this week it has been jam packed with activities. The children have worked hard on using their phonics knowledge to decode tricky words and finding sounds around nursery, we even took the stepping stones to the forest school and played wood words with them.

Some of the children used their fine motor control to make, explore and play with the play-dough they made different markings using the tools and models.

Then they got to meet Sam and Sally the puppets to talk about their new schools. The children had lots of questions and worries about starting and some great ideas of what it might be like. They made a mind map to show all the different thoughts.
