Stay and Share session – tomorrow

We are really looking forward to our ‘Stay and Share’ session this Wednesday at 2:30pm. Please enter your child’s classroom from their usual drop off/pick up location (Years R, 2, 3, 5 and 6 parents should enter from the playground classroom doors, Year 1 and Mrs Everall’s classes’ can be accessed from the decking and Mr Banfield’s class from the stairs by the Visitor Car Park). Playground gates will open at 2:30pm.  For this event, the children will remain in their classrooms so if you are visiting more than one child you will be able to move between the classrooms and spend some time with them individually. We look forward to seeing you all and the children can’t wait to share their learning with you.

Stay & Share Session – Wednesday 5th February

On Wednesday 5th February, we will be hosting our first ‘Stay and Share’ session at 2:30pm.
This is an exciting opportunity for the children to share their learning with you so far this year. Due to space constraints, we are only able to accommodate one parent/grandparent per child.
If you have more than one child in school you will have the opportunity to visit their classroom during the session, so please book a place for each child.
Attendance must be confirmed through ParentPay so staff are aware of expected numbers on the day. Further details will be shared closer to the time.
We look forward to seeing you soon.

Fruit & Vegetable tasting session – Rec, Y1 and Y2

On Tuesday 25th and Wednesday 26th February, our Reception, Y1 and Y2 children will be taking part in a 5 a day session which is being run by a team from the Schools Health and Wellbeing programme.

During this session, the children will have the opportunity to taste some fruit and vegetables such as fresh pears.

We already have historic permission from parents on our system, so we know who has permission and who hasn’t, but if you do not want your child to sample the food, please let your teacher know by Monday 3rd February.

The fruits and vegetables selected will be suitable for all children as we have double checked our list of children with allergens in those year groups.

Many thanks

Newdale Team

Reception R.E

Next week, we are learning about what a Baptism is. Later in the term, we look at other naming ceremonies too. If your child has taken part in a Baptism, other naming ceremony or religious ceremony that you would like to share with us in class, then please do send in a photograph, along with some brief details about the event. It could be a ceremony they have attended, if not one taken part in for themselves. Ideally, photos to be sent via Evidence Me so that we can keep precious photos safe, but please do chat to us if this is not possible.

Thank you – the children will love sharing their own range of experiences with their friends.

The Reception team.

Arriving Ready for School

Dear Parents/Carers,

Thankfully the snow is slowly melting and we hope for a trouble free start to the term tomorrow. Do take care near our site though, as we are unsure as to what the temperatures will do.

We thought it would be useful to share the slide below with you. We will be dedicating some assembly time to this tomorrow.

If you are struggling with getting your children into school or struggling to get uniform, please do talk to us as we might be able to help.

Look forward to seeing you all tomorrow.
