Achievement Assembly

Friday 12th June 2026

It has been another very busy week at Newdale! On Monday, children from Ironbridge enjoyed their house celebration after gaining the most house points during the first half of the summer term. On Wednesday, our nursery children had a wonderful trip to Attingham Farm and in the afternoon, we held our annual Summer Fair, raising over £1200 to support our trips and visits – thank you to everyone for your generosity.

Year 4 also completed their Multiplication Table Check. They impressed Miss Macfarlane and their teachers with their effort, focus, and excellent recall of times-table facts, earning themselves an extra playtime!

Year 5 enjoyed an exciting and immersive Maya Workshop, where they explored the fascinating world of the ancient Maya civilisation through a range of hands-on activities and interactive experiences. A particular highlight of the day was the opportunity to use virtual reality headsets. Through this immersive experience, the children were able to explore Maya cities, climb impressive temples, and journey through tropical rainforests, bringing their learning to life in a memorable and engaging way.

House Points

The children have been working hard to collect as many house points as possible during Weeks 1 and 2. Leading the way are Wrekin with an impressive 541 points! In second place is Wenlock with 454, followed by Ironbridge with 438 points. In fourth place are Severn with 427 points. Well done, everyone!
