Some amendments to our timetable are as follows:

PE days are now Monday and Tuesday. Please come in Newdale PE kits on these days.
Forest school will now be on a Thursday afternoon. Please bring forest kits and wellies in a seperate kit bag on this day.

See you bright and early tomorrow to hear about your break.

School Dinner pricing from Summer term

From next term all school dinners will be charged at £2.70. We know this is an increase, but we are still confident that our school lunches offer great value and provide a nutritious lunch for all children.  The new menu will be distributed and added to the website as soon as school receive it.

Thank you

Message from Miss Cook

Dear Parents/Carers,

No one can quite believe that we are already on the brink of the Easter Holidays. This term has zoomed by.

It certainly has been action packed with many exciting things planned for the children.

Teachers have been very busy mapping out the summer term. We really do hope that the weather is kind to us, as many events during the summer are outside.

From all of the teams at Newdale, we wish you a happy Easter and look forward to welcoming your children back next term.

Kind regards,

Miss Cook

Year 2 Nature Walk

Year 2 will be going on a small nature walk tomorrow afternoon to observe seasonal changes in trees.
Children will begin to identify deciduous and evergreen trees.
Please ensure children have waterproof coats and comfy shoes.

Also, congratulations to Mrs King’s class for winning the BeSMART cup!
As a treat, we will spend time in the play area whilst on the nature walk.

Finance and Personnel Committee Update

The Finance and Personnel Governors met this week and without doubt the highlight was again talking to children! We invited a group of children with additional needs from across the school to talk to us about their learning and the support they receive. It was reassuring for Governors to hear how enthusiastic they are about school.

Schools across the country are under immense pressure to remain financially stable. Governors scrutinised the Newdale budgets and discussed ideas moving forward. Measures that will be taken will ensure we are financially stable and yet, will not affect the quality of education for our children.
