Making Porridge 🥣

Today Reception had another Science day. We investigated how porridge changes state as we heat it. We also made predictions about where porridge might cool the fastest for the three Bears and Goldilocks, and why. We used data loggers to measure the temperature of the porridge in the different locations. Of course we then had to make porridge and taste it! 🥣 😋 🐻

Parent/Carer Survey Autumn 2020

We would like to thank all of the parents in school and nursery who completed a parent survey this year. We were delighted to receive back over 250 surveys this year! Each survey has been read and we really value your thoughts and opinions. Once feedback has been discussed with all staff, we will share with you our next steps as a school.

Our Remembrance Day

Today we had lots of fun learning about why Remembrance Day is so important . We have been making poppies, doing some marching, singing songs, and held a 2 minute silence. Thank you for your donations.

Junk modelling in Reception

We have had lots of fun  this afternoon taking part in junk modelling week. Not everyone was able to have a turn today. The rest of the class will be having a go on Thursday. Here are some of our creations so far.

Reception Miss Hailey’s Star of the Week ⭐️

A huge well done to Ryan for being our star of the week this week, for always trying his best. Olivia won our Value of the Month award for being so respectful. She always respects our things in school as well as her classmates and every adult. Well done and thank you Olivia.

Reception, Year 1 and Year 3 – Junk Modelling Reminder

Please remember, classes in Reception, Year 1 and Year 3 will have their Junk Modelling Week next week (week beginning: 09.11.20). We would like every pupil to bring in a bag of recycling objects by tomorrow (Friday 6th November). We will not be able to accept any more bags of recycling next week.

Music with Mr Wilcox

Reception were very lucky to have their first wonderful music session with our specialist music teacher, Mr Wilcox. They absolutely loved joining in and are looking forward to the next lesson (which they will be having every Wednesday this half term ☺️)

Bonfire Night 🔥 Art in Reception.
