This week, (03.11.25), children from Reception to Year 6 will be discussing the NSPCC’s PANTS rule as part of a class assembly, led by the class teacher. During the assemblies, we will aim to teach our pupils the following important safety skills without giving explicit information.
We will be teaching our pupils the NSPCC’s underwear rule, using the ‘PANTS’ acrostic.
PANTS stands for:
- Privates are private
- Always remember your body belongs to you
- No means no
- Talk about secrets that upset you
- Speak up, someone can help
The content of the session will be delivered in a way that is fully age appropriate. The children will then complete additional class sessions in January as part of our ‘Share Aware’ week.
If you would like to know more about the NSPCC’s campaign, please feel free to book onto the parent/ carer workshop hosted by the NSPCC, taking place at Newdale Primary school on 06.11.25 (2:30-3:00pm). This can be booked via Parent Pay. Alternatively, if you have any questions, please speak to the class teacher.
Thank you for your continued support.
