If you are unable to attend the live sessions, a recording of the lesson will always be available afterwards.  Worksheets and any further instructions will be shared via the website. We understand that this is tricky for some of you working from home, especially those with siblings so we understand that it is not always possible to join live. We hope the recordings help to support this.

Free School Meals

There has been a lot of publicity around the offering of free school meals in the press.  On 8th January we informed you that we would be working with Edenred Uk and was waiting for further guidance from the Department of Education.  Because we understand this is taking some time for the guidance to be released, we have ordered our own vouchers in the hope that they will be processed swiftly.  As our post stated on 8th January if you are desperate for food we can in the short term offer packed lunches, please do not hesitate to contact our school office or pastoral team for more support.  I can assure you our team are working very hard to ensure that vouchers are received as quickly as we possibly can.  Many thanks for your patience and understanding in this difficult time.

Y4 Home Learning

It is understandable that children may need a little bit of adult support when completing their work at home.

Some parents have added onto the work/or sent a private comment via Google Classroom to let us know if support was needed. This has been really helpful for us.

If you have needed to support your child with a task, and you feel you had to give them lots of help, please do let us know.

We will be continuing to assess children and its important that we receive a true reflection of a child’s abilities.

Thank you again for your continued support; we really appreciate your help.

Many thanks

Overviews of Maths content

Dear parents and carers,

Over the next few days, you will see your class teachers sharing overviews of maths content with you on a single sheet of paper.

These are called knowledge organisers and contain the essential parts of learning that your child will be covering in that unit of work. We need our children to know more by remembering more and these will help them to understand what are the essential parts that they need to know at the end of that unit of work.

The work that is set for your children will relate directly to the content on these. You can support your child by going through these with them and identifying if there are any aspects on there which your child needs extra work on. Your child’s teacher will be able to help you with this.

As always, if any help or support is needed, please get in touch.

Kind regards
Mrs Bishton

Thank You

Thank you parents for supporting your child with their home learning.

It has been great to see lots of children attending the live lessons and completing the work on Google Classrooms.

We monitor work daily to ensure that all children are accessing/completing work.

We have noticed that some children are attending the live lessons (which is great) but then not completing the work set on Google Classroom.

Please can you double check that this isn’t the case with your child.

Please note that if your child is in school, they will be completing work on Google Classrooms.

Many thanks
