Cinderella’s ball

On Friday 15th October, as part of our fairy tale theme, we will be holding a ball. We have been learning about Cinderella and will have our very own party in mighty oaks as a culmination of that learning. If your child attends our Friday sessions they are invited to dress up in party clothes or fancy dress outfits. Please send coats as usual to play outside in and sensible shoes. Thank you in advance for your support.

Y4 Spelling

To support children with their spelling, we have purchased ‘Spelling Shed’ which is full of spelling games. Children can find their logins in their diaries under ‘Edshed’.

Stages 3 and 4 are aimed at lower KS2; however, if your child requires simpler spellings, please encourage them to play on the earlier stages.

Many thanks

Reception Class Banquet Monday 11th October

On Monday 11th October we will be holding a special Castle Banquet to celebrate the fantastic work the children have been doing on Castles. So far we have made the castle shields, place cards and decorations. The Party will be instead of Forest School.

Please can your child bring in a  change of clothes to wear to celebrate the Castle Banquet. The children will come to school in their normal clothes and will get changed after their lunch. It can either be a costume they already have at home ( eg A King, Knight, Princess, Queen etc) or some party clothes.

We will make sure we take lots of photos to share with you all.

Many Thanks. The Reception Team.

Y4 Key Dates

As we have a lot of exciting activities planned in for the last couple of weeks of this half-term, we thought we would send out details in advance for you. Please see the PDF document for key information. We will also stick a copy in reading diaries. We will send out reminders nearer the time too.

Key Information for the upcoming weeks in Year 4

Many thanks

Year 5 Choir

Dear Parents/Carers,

We are really pleased to announce that Year 5 Choir Club (Young Voices) will be going ahead tomorrow after school until 16:15.

We cannot wait to get stuck into learning all the fantastic music for January’s concert!

Further information will be sent out soon with regards to parent/carer tickets and t-shirts.

Kind regards,

Year 5

Thank You

Thank you to the parents and carers of children in Reception who practised getting changed independently as part of our ‘parents as partners’ task this week.
We noticed a big difference in many children this week and it did help greatly. If you could continue to practise regularly, this would be appreciated.

Please keep an eye out for a parent share on Evidence Me of an observation from forest school this week 😊

Thank you, The Reception Team.

Star of the Week 🌟

Well done Coby!
You have been working so hard to become our star this week.
You really deserve to be our star for all your hard work and how kind you always are. We are really proud ☺️.
