Reception Home Learning Monday 13th July

Wow. The last week of term has finally reached us. We are so proud of you all and hope your families were pleased with your reports. Thank you for working so hard and we are so proud of you. We look forward to seeing you all next year when you are in Year 1 and hope you have a lovely summer.

We will be posting activities over the Summer Holidays. These are for those families who want to use them and they are by no means compulsory. As your children will be moving into Year 1 in September they will no longer use Evidence Me in Year 1. Therefore we will not be checking this every day. It will most likely be checked weekly as will be the case for the Year R email too.

A massive thank you for all your support over the last few months and we hope you all have a wonderful break.

Religious Education Themed Week

In the autumn term, the children all learnt about Sikhism. In the spring term, the children all learnt about Christianity. Due to school closure, teachers were unable to teach our summer term Islamic unit to the children.  Therefore, the final themed week for the summer term will be based on our whole school unit on Islam. Please click on the PDF to find out activities you can take part in with your child/children.

Year 3 Final week of Spellings W/C 13th July – Jumping Orange Words

JUMPING ORANGE SPELLLINGS

ALL spelling groups will complete the Year 3 Jumping Orange words this week!

Week 7 spellings – Jumping Orange words

If you are unsure of the definition of a word, use a dictionary or online dictionary https://www.dictionary.com/ to find the meaning. You could use the meaning to help write a sentence to help learn them. This is great for handwriting practise too!

Remember you can also create a scribble spelling sheet one day to help you practise like this

Year 3 Maths Summer Week 7

Hello Year 3’s

This is your final week of Year 3 Maths! We are super impressed with the efforts you have been putting into your maths!

This week’s maths is about measure, pictograms, bar charts and some games.

REMEMBER – try and practise your times tables on TTRS – I have set up tournaments. So get multiplying!!!!!

There are videos for each lesson followed by the activity sheets. Copy and paste the video link.  If you can’t print the sheets do not worry as you can just write out the calculations or answers on a piece of paper just as the sheets model.

Any further queries, email Mrs Trevor at newdale.year3team@taw.org.uk
