Year 2 -PE Update

We have updated our timetable for this term. There will be no forest school this half term as it is only four weeks long. Instead, we will do forest school in Summer 2.

PE days will be Thursday and Friday.  However, please note this Thursday (1st May) is class photo day, so for this day only, please can children come dressed in normal school uniform.

Reception Message

Good morning,

We have updated our timetable for this term. Forest school will now be on a Thursday afternoon.
Please wear PE kits to school and bring in a separate forest kit on this day.

However, please note this Thursday (1st May) is class photo day, so for this day only, please can children come dressed in normal school uniform and bring forest kits in a separate bag for the afternoon.

Thank you
Reception

Reception Welcome Back

We are really looking forward to welcoming everybody back tomorrow for the Summer term! We are sure you had a lovely break and look forward to hearing all about it.

We cannot wait to start our brand new topic all about growing this half term and think you will enjoy our new garden centre role play areas.

Please note a change in PE days this term. PE days for Reception will now be on a Monday and Thursday. Children are to come dressed in their PE kit uniform on those days.

Forest School will now be on a Thursday afternoon and separate kits are needed for this.

With the lovely weather, please consider sun hats and water bottles and we also ask you to apply sun cream at home before coming to school. Please do label every item of clothing, as you can imagine in the warmer months, the children may take of cardigans and jumpers when needed. In the event of your child misplacing their belongings, this will help them to be reunited with the correct person.

Thank you for your support.

The Reception team :)

PE and Forest School days for next half term.

Next half term (Summer 1, after the Easter break) there will be no Forest School. We will continue to offer plenty of opportunities for outdoor learning.

PE days will be…

Tuesday with the crossbar coaches.

Thursday with the class teacher.

Have a lovely Easter holiday and see you all on the 28th April.

Happy Easter Holidays!

We hope you have a lovely two weeks off (hopefully enjoying some lovely sunshine!) We can’t wait to hear about what you have all been up to when you come back on Monday 28th April.

Don’t forget to keep practising your spellings, times tables (Times Table Rockstars) and reading lots! We have noticed a slight dip in these the last couple of weeks and want to try to get these back up again ready for the Summer term.

We would also love to hand out more pen licences, so please practise handwriting at all opportunities.

Have a lovely two week break everyone!
