Year 6 week 5- Summer home learning

Over the summer holidays, there is not an expectation that children are to carry on with their home learning; however, if you would like your child to do so, in preparation for secondary school, please check the website weekly for ideas to support your child. Please note that any activities completed on Purple Mash will not be marked by teachers over the summer holidays.

Reception Summer Holiday Activities Week 2

Hello to you all. We have attached some activities you may wish to do with your child over the Summer Break. They are not compulsory but are there to use if you want to. As your child is moving to Year 1 next year they will no longer be using Evidence Me. This will only be checked weekly as will the Year R email.

Have fun.

Year 1 Summer Fun Learning

Hello Year 1.

We wish you an absolutely wonderful Summer Holidays. It has been an usual last term in Year 1 and we are so unbelievably proud of how well you have handled all the changes during this time. You have been so grown-up and are more than ready for Year 2! The work you have completed at home and at school has been fantastic and parents have done a wonderful job of teaching you at home too. Thank you so much everybody.

We understand that Summer is a time for families and fun. As we did over the half term holidays this year, we thought we would send out optional extra learning tasks for over the summer holiday period, but these are only if you so choose to do so. We will post an activity sheet at the start of each week. Most of the tasks are on PurpleMash, so they can be completed in a fun, informal ‘game’ way. There are also some fun family suggestions. Most importantly, we would love for you to keep up your reading.

Have an amazing few weeks and we look forward to seeing you back safe and sound in September.

Happy Holidays!

Miss Hailey and Miss McCullagh

Year 3 Maths Summer Week 7

Hello Year 3’s

This is your final week of Year 3 Maths! We are super impressed with the efforts you have been putting into your maths!

This week’s maths is about measure, pictograms, bar charts and some games.

REMEMBER – try and practise your times tables on TTRS – I have set up tournaments. So get multiplying!!!!!

There are videos for each lesson followed by the activity sheets. Copy and paste the video link.  If you can’t print the sheets do not worry as you can just write out the calculations or answers on a piece of paper just as the sheets model.

Any further queries, email Mrs Trevor at newdale.year3team@taw.org.uk
