For Literacy today, continuing with our Weather theme we would like you to have a go at writing your own Springtime poem to celebrate all the sunshine we have had lately! You might like to read some poems first for a bit of inspiration.

Finally, you should have received a text to ask you to keep hold of an empty plastic bottle for an upcoming activity! All will be revealed tomorrow.

Hello Year 1.

This week in phonics and spellings, we are revising split digraphs. Remember, this is when a word has a ‘magic e’ at the end which is silent, but sprinkles it’s magic onto the medial vowel to change it’s sound to a ‘capital letter sound’.  Practise your spellings and then for fun, you may choose this split digraph wordsearch.
